Pseudopanax arboreus.
Tall shrub with rich green glossy foliage. Widespread in lowland forest throughout NZ. Prospers in good soil. Avoid wet or boggy soil. Will stand coastal winds. Cream flowers followed by purple seeds that birds will feed on. Sun or shade. Hardy once established.
