CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Dense bushy suckering shrub, with attractive dark green glossy leaves on tall arching stems. Small cream flowers produced in winter are fragrant and followed by black berries. Hardy in most soils though prefers a humus rich one. Fantastic for dry shady sites. Will grow in the sun if given enough moisture. Very hardy to cold and frost. Introduced from Jiangxi in Eastern China by Roy Lancaster. Superb evergreen shrub ideal for planting in a sheltered spot near a door or path where the scent can be appreciated in the winter.
